Sanglas is a brand of motorcycles virtually unknown outside Spain. It was born in 1942 with the goal of being a viable alternative to the mainstream bikes of the moment (BMW, Zündapp or DKW) and ceased its production in 1981. This 400Y with a Yamaha XS400 engine comes from the last years of the life of Sanglas, when 50% of the company shares had become Japanese-owned. Cafe Racer Obsession made a nice special out of this model and name it "la mestiza" (metisse), for a casual and everyday use. Cool! Nice try.
La Sanglas è una marca di moto pressoché sconosciuta fuori dalla Spagna. Nacque nel 1942 con l’obiettivo di essere una valida alternativa alle moto del momento (BMW, Zündapp o DKW) e cessò la produzione nel 1981. Questa 400Y con motore Yamaha XS400 risale agli ultimi anni di vita della Sanglas, quando il 50% della compagine azionaria era divenuta di proprietà giapponese. Cafe Racer Obsession ne ha fatto una gradevole special per un uso quotidiano e disinvolto e l'ha chiamata "La mestiza" (la meticcia). Bella prova.
